“Everything that you get into is for a reason, a season or for a lifetime; every time you have to evaluate what stage you are in.”
As the Business Manager at Cytonn Technologies, my day to day work involves, managing a brilliant team of engineers that have put their sweat and blood in making Cytonn the most efficient company of this century through the systems and services we offer. As we say, Cytonn is a technology company that happens to offer investment services.
With over seven years’ experience in IT and Service Delivery, I have previously worked at Seven Seas Technologies as the Program Manager for Innovation. Prior to that, I served in various senior capacities: as the Group IT Manager, Head of Knowledge Management, Innovation Business Development Manager and Program Manager for K4Life within Seven Seas.
I am an accomplished software engineer, with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Nairobi & Executive MBA from Strathmore Business School with a Panafrican module from IESE Business School, a graduate business school of the University of Navarra.
I am skilled at rallying people behind a common course to create solutions to the prevailing challenges. I pick up a challenge, strategize, hire people, form a dynamic department, empower & scale it up and then move on to the next challenge. I have also developed key skills in strategy development, innovation & project management. With time I have become a hip of tricks & treasures, which I prefer to call A Daniel-of-All-Trades.
My passion is in making the world a better place to live in. Currently, I serve as the Vice Curator in Global Shapers, a World Economic Forum Initiative, where we are mandated with shaping up Nairobi to make it an attractive investment destination and residential environment. I also serve as an Advisory Council Member in the Presidential Digital Talent Program and an Executive Committee Member of the Africa Rising Initiative among others.
The stories that I heard about Cytonn in the market made me decide to be part of the team after being referred by a local talent search firm. I tend to get attracted to places where I can see a well-thought-out & clear strategy or roadmap. To me, Cytonn happened to be that place: so I dived right in.
For anyone looking to join Cytonn, this is not a place for the fainthearted. The environment here demands total commitment to set objectives, a fighter spirit, innovativeness & delivery of results. If you can achieve all these, are self-driven and can thrive in a team context, then this is the place for you.
