Nairobi, Kenya- July 18, 2015 – Cytonn Investments Management has established a US based affiliate Company to deliver real estate solutions to Kenyans living in the Diaspora.

Dubbed Cytonn Diaspora; the company is based in Delaware, USA from where it will serve the Diaspora – one of Cytonn Investments Management’s main clientele. The others are global institutional investors and high net-worth investors. Initially, Cytonn Diaspora will focus on real estate before expanding to other sectors.

Cytonn has appointed Hetal Nathwani as the business lead for Cytonn Diaspora.

“Clients expect service and responsiveness. Cytonn Diaspora effectively takes the front office function close to the Diaspora client and enables us to deliver the best client service and respond quickly to the unique Diaspora needs,” said Hetal of the new company.

Edwin H. Dande, the Managing Partner at Cytonn Investments, will work closely with Hetal to offer the strategic direction for the US business and will be splitting time between the Kenyan and US business going forward.

“Kenyan Diaspora involvement with investments in Kenya is critical to economic growth. Cytonn Diaspora is a platform that brings together the Kenyan Diaspora abroad, national and county governments locally, and attractive investment opportunities locally in order to connect capital from the Kenyan Diaspora to investment opportunities locally,” said Edwin.

Edwin Dande, together with Nasser Olwero, a board member based in Washington DC, last week paid a courtesy call to the Kenyan Ambassador to the US, His Excellency Ambassador Robinson Githae, to brief him and the mission of Cytonn Diaspora’s presence and strategy in the US going forward.

Cytonn Diaspora will hold a Diaspora session on July 18th, 2015 in New Jersey to discuss real estate investment solutions in Kenya. This will be followed by a 5 city road shows in September that will include Washington DC, Philadelphia, Jersey City, New York and Boston.
