To close out the third quarter on a high note, Cytonn Group hosted a team building event at Githegi Bay and Boat Club, bringing together staff from across departments for a day of learning, collaboration, and fun.

The day kicked off with icebreaker activities that set the tone for open interaction, followed by a series of challenges designed to test teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and creativity. Staff were grouped into four diverse teams — Skylas, Mosco, the Blues, and Wantam — ensuring cross-departmental representation and collaboration.

Highlights of the day included:

  • The Company Challenge: identifying gaps and inefficiencies between departments.
  • Spear the Hare Against the Wall: a physical puzzle requiring coordination and unity.
  • Zero to Hero: fast-paced number-based problem solving.
  • Mixed Relay & Tug of War: energizing contests of strength, strategy, and execution.

A town hall session held after lunch provided an open platform for leadership and staff to share feedback and align on strategy, while reflection sessions after each challenge encouraged teams to draw workplace lessons from the day’s activities.

In the end, The Blues emerged as overall winners, closely followed by Mosco, Skylas, and Wantam. The day wrapped up with a closing ceremony and afterparty — celebrating not just the winners, but the collective energy and spirit of the entire Cytonn team.

Key Takeaway

Beyond the fun and games, the event revealed meaningful insights into cross-departmental collaboration and workflow efficiency, which will be documented and integrated into follow-up actions for continuous improvement.

Looking Ahead

Cytonn Group remains committed to building strong, cohesive teams that drive innovation and growth. The Q3 team building was a clear reminder that when we collaborate, strategize, and support each other, we are better positioned to deliver on our organizational mission.
