Cytonn Investments Management Plc held its 4th annual Cytonn Diaspora forum for its clients, on 4th May, 2018, at the Grange Holborn Hotel in London, UK. The event was held to inform existing and potential clients and investors on Cytonn’s outlook of the 2018 macroeconomic and operating environment, as well as present the attractive investment opportunities for East Africans in the Diaspora. The forum was well attended, with over forty existing and potential clients.

“Having engaged the East African diaspora every year through Cytonn Diaspora, we thought it best to hold our forum in London this year, and meet with our clients and potential clients, in order to touch base on investment opportunities and talent repatriation,” said Edwin H. Giving the board member remarks at the event, Michael Bristow, a non-executive board member at Cytonn, had important points on corporate governance at the firm. “Cytonn is a firm that focuses on good corporate governance practices, with the four board committees constituted of individuals with vast experience and great track records,” said Mr. Bristow. “Cytonn Asset Managers Limited receiving a fund management license from the Capital Markets Authority is yet another stamp of approval for Cytonn,” continued Mr. Bristow.

Speaking on the 2018 market outlook, Stephanie Onchwati, Investment Analyst at Cytonn, noted that the outlook for the macroeconomic environment in Kenya in 2018 remained positive. “GDP growth will be driven by recovery of the agriculture sector, continued strong growth in real estate and tourism sectors, public infrastructural investments as well as growth in the manufacturing sector,” said Stephanie.
