Cytonn eHub Season 3 continued on 25th August 2018 with participants keen to pick up from the introductory session the previous weekend that set the stage on what entrepreneurship entails as well as expectations derived from entrepreneurship.

The focus of the day’s session was “Identifying a Business Opportunity and Packaging Your Business Idea.” The speaker of the day, Mr. Johnson Denge, Cytonn’s Senior Manager for Regional Markets, guided the entrepreneurs through identifying, testing and seizing a business opportunity, in addition to packaging a business idea to attract investor funding and talent. “Opportunity is the potential to create something new that involves change in knowledge, technology, economy, politics, social, and demographic conditions and it exists when there is demand for goods and services to meet the needs and wants of consumers,” he said.

Mr. Denge also insisted on the role of the entrepreneur in driving the creative agenda of his business by noticing that, “An entrepreneur is one who is able to produce work that is novel (i.e. original and unexpected), high in quality and appropriate. “A business opportunity is first tested for problems and solutions for this sought and the process is called incubation,” he added.

Ms. Racheal Muthoni Eshiwani, Founder Michael and Hove, engages on the day's Book Reading discussions.

The forum was a great success, and the entrepreneurs present left the session upbeat about the fresh insights they could channel into their businesses to make them a success.
