Cytonn
Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Cytonn Investments, today
held its bi-annual media training that saw over 30 journalists trained on Financial Statements Analysis at Sagret
Hotel.
The training was facilitated by Investments Manager, Maurice Oduor, who trained the journalists on understanding financial statements, how to prepare, interpret and present the information to the public.

educated the journalists on the various sections of financial statements and
the key areas to be keen on when packaging the stories for the public.
The training is part of Cytonn Foundation’s effort to contribute to the growth of financial journalism, improve the quality of information available to the public and enhance the skill sets of media personnel.

Financial Literacy and Training & Mentorship. The media training is under the
Financial Literacy pillar that seeks
to enhance financial knowledge and empower individuals with skills and
knowledge, which will allow them to make informed decisions on their financial
resources.
The
attendees received certificates of participation at the end of the training.
